Chinese artist designs first BMW digital art car

BMW has recently unveiled an art car like no other at the Minsheng Art Museum in Beijing. Chinese multimedia artist, Cao Fei was the creative brain behind the first ever digital art car. Cao is the youngest and only Chinese artist to design an art car, since its inception back in 1975. Through the use of augmented and virtual reality, it represents the future of digitalisation in the automotive industry, as well as the speed of change in China. This project shines a light on the new emerging generation of Chinese artists. The immersive experience will be on display at museums around the world, including the Tate Modern, the BMW Experience Shanghai and the UBS Forum during Art Basel in June 2017, before making its way to Macau for the race at the FIA GT World Cup in November.
