Who we are

Riviera Events is an international event management company founded in 2005 offering professional event planning services in China with offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Macao. With offices in all six corners of the country it enables us to deliver event management services no matter where you are; from Tianjin to Chongqing, Nanjing, Hangzhou and Hainan to name a few.

Riviera provides event planning services for the high-end hospitality industry, luxury brands as well as top500 worldwide corporations.  We have experience in managing grand opening ceremonies, client appreciation events, annual conferences, anniversary celebrations, store launches and fashion shows.  Riviera is one of the few event agencies in China whose event planning services include: creative and design, event production and talent management.

With a balanced mix of foreign professionals and Chinese experts, Riviera Events maintain great ability in meeting the needs and challenges a multinational company faces in adapting to the complex Chinese market.

With several years of operation and having built a reputation as the leading event agency for the hospitality industry, Co-Founders Stephane de Montgros and Benoit Thebaut decided to expand. Over the last few years China has experienced explosive growth within the hospitality industry which is set to continue unabated. With China being at the forefront of international and domestic travel, Stephane and Benoit saw an opportunity and thus The Hotelier Awards was born.

The Hotelier Awards is the first and only accolade in China that honours the dedicated professionals at a hotel rather than the property itself.  The annual event is an overdue recognition bestowed upon individuals who are the best in their field.

The first three editions garnered a lot of attention from both the media and the industry. Over the 3 years close to 1000 applications were collected from 160 properties and 55 brands.
